Welcome to the homepage of the Mariachi Nuevo Santander de Roma!

We are a marichi group made of students from Roma High School in Roma, Texas. On this site you can find out information about how we got started, some of the awards we've won - and we've won lots, and, of course, you can see some of our pictures. We hope you enjoy your stay!

The Roma mariachi haswon several important awards that have recognize the mariachi Roma throughout the state of Texas and this past summer 98 the Roma Mariachi had the chance to excell nationally in the 8th Annual Mariachi Spectacular Contest, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The mariachi was named National Champions.

This group was also honored by the Region One Educational Service Center’s Board of Regents at the end of 1997-1998 school year by being selected to play at a luncheon for superintendents and board members.

Also, the community of Roma honored the mariachi by declaring July 13-19 Mariachi Week.
